In honor of Earth Day: Participate in some subtle resistance. Keep those dandelions, don't rake leaves, install a bat house. Rebel against perfectly green chemical lawns.

Harvard has set an example for other higher-ed institutions - rejecting an unlawful and ham-handed attempt to stifle academic freedom, while taking steps to make sure students can benefit from an environment of intellectual inquiry, rigorous debate and mutual respect. Let’s hope others follow suit.

West Coast numbers are coming in, and estimates have now surpassed 5 million. People are still pouring into the streets—nearly 2% of the American population is rising up. America, we are so proud of you. You did it.

Elon musk is the richest man in the world, he could be funding hospitals, medical research and universities. He could be solving the climate crisis. He could be feeding, hungry children. Instead, he’s trying to make sure that your grandmother doesn’t get an extra dollar of Social Security.

Reminder: it’s not just about your own unvaccinated children. It’s about the lives of those that are too young, or otherwise unable to be vaccinated!
Measles has a 12% mortality rate in unvaccinated young children.

Children cannot be vaccinated until they are at least 12 months old.

And if infants need to be kept home and out of daycare to avoid potentially fatal measles outbreaks...

Guess who that removes from the workforce.

(Women.)
In 3 days, the number of measles cases in a highly unvaccinated area of Texas has doubled. There are now 48 cases, all of whom are unvaccinated, and 13 of whom have been hospitalized so far, for a hospitalization rate of 27%. This is huge figure in epidemiology. This outbreak will keep spreading.

When Pete and I had nearly $10,000 worth of fraud on our bank account a few weeks before Christmas- the banks tried to be helpful, the police came and took a full report, but it was involving the CFPB that finally helped us recoup all of the funds. www.npr.org/2025/02/10/n...
The Trump administration has stopped work at the CFPB. Here's what the agency does
It's the main U.S. agency tasked with overseeing the financial products and services used by everyday Americans. The CFPB's new head has closed its offices and told staff to stay home.
