Amazon has deployed it's 1 millionth service robot today. These robots have replaced people working at facilities for years, all powered by AI.
So why are we still shopping at Amazon?
Aren't they "stealing" jobs from actual workers?
Or are we just looking the other way when it's convenient?

This is what’s wrong with AI. AI buddies are predatory. I don’t want to talk to my dead baby, Elvis, or Bigfoot. I don’t need a robot friend. AI has no idea what they might think, it’s just a messed up way to take advantage of people who are compromised.

This is what’s wrong with AI. AI buddies are predatory. I don’t want to talk to my dead baby, Elvis, or Bigfoot. I don’t need a robot friend. AI has no idea what they might think, it’s just a messed up way to take advantage of people who are compromised.

Funny how we complain about how destructive AI is to the environment from our resource intensive iPhones while watching our environmentally destructive TVs that produce absolutely nothing of value. Is it really about the environment, or are we just using the planet as a political bludgeon?

This is interesting.
As a business owner I am constantly looking for ways to make my company a better experience for staff.
Things like insurance, dental, gym memberships, and vision have all been investigated.

Are Blueskys content policies enforce fairly? This AM my business account @tumekestudio.com was hit with a Spam accusation. We are a growing MMO studio, our content is exclusively about online games. During that time we were hit with unsolicited follows from porn and politics. Double standard?

The level of right wing spam Twitler sends its accounts by default is horrific. I have no interest in MAGA clowns or their politics, but that platform is force feeding it to me as a business owner and inspiring me to not log in. Horrible approach.

That's the problem with MMOs today, in my opinion. For 20 years the same formula has been copied. We've already played the game. They all look the same at this point.

This was nice to see. We’re trying to create a product that is both fun and allows for a meaningful way to experience culture and human perspectives not as a tourist, but as a participant in allegory.

This was nice to see. We’re trying to create a product that is both fun and allows for a meaningful way to experience culture and human perspectives not as a tourist, but as a participant in allegory.
This is important because indigenous people are more than just a flavor pack you can bolt on to whatever product you choose.
They are real people, with real perspectives. Flattening them into convenient tropes is exploitative.
