An innocent artist (a USAF Vet, Boo!), who likes puzzles, travel, beer and tapas, and tasty contracts with verifiable Royalty clauses, and also clever merchandising contracts, and dinner parties, Yay!
- not in that order
I was helping someone prepare for his move to Spain earlier in the Summer - after setting up his new bank account, the bank manager introduced some of the bank's products, including a comprehensive health plan - no co-pays, no exclusions, flat yearly fee of about $2700 for a 65 year old dude!?!?

I always come away from a trip to Spain, in mild shock at all the hugging and cheek kissing that goes on in the course of an ordinary day in Valencia - far more friendliness than I have experienced in Vermont in 25 years, where "cold" isn't primarily a descriptor for Winter weather.

- part of my second litter of small sculptures, including more tack hooks, and new door knockers lefties and righties, wax to bronze
- parte del grupo 2 de mis trabajos en cera, hechas bronze, ganchos para los establos de un millonario y media docena de picapuertas

- we have a small chalkboard on the porch for visitors to write a note on if we aren't in
- one day, I walked outside to find a young girl of about 10 or so, who was writing on it. She had picked some flowers and was asking for a bag for them, she thought it was an iPad
- I will never get over it

1) We met up yesterday for lunch at the new location of the Putney Diner, now set in a grand old home, the main rooms have been renovated in a way that reveals the huge timbers revealed by removing the old ceiling, while leaving many original details delightfully intact - it's a wonderful space ...

There was no traffic, so I stopped and proceeded to forget the record button on my iPhone while I watched the cub trying out one tree after the other.
His mother never showed, and when he jelly-rolled across the road in front of me and up that hill, I proceeded home to draw him from memory.

Becky thought they were just "funnin' her" when her new beach friends said that they were visiting from Mars.
She was in for a surprise, a bigger surprise than she had ever known.

I think that I might have drawn this droll "Capitol Hill morning poem person" (300 block of A Street NE, you know who you are) for just such a tedious Thursday as we are about to have, today.
I could be wrong.

Did this ever happen for you?

My parents bought me books, and kept most of them in a closet until I should be "old enough" for them - instantly making them "forbidden fruits".

The closet had a light, though ... 1/2

The indie bookstore around the corner had this sign. So I went inside and bought 2 books from the banned book section. Support local small businesses. Read banned books. Drink your Ovaltine.

- We just made last minute flying plans for May, now I only have a few weeks of agonizing - instead of the usual months of anxiety when I buy months in advance, argh.
Vuelos y lo demás ya concretizados para Mayo, casi mejor hacerlo todo al ultimo momento por poder evitar meses de anticipación, je je

from one of my murals - for #InsectThursday
one of my favorite poem/drawings of insects and their friends, (c) 2025 by Edward Huse - it's part of the entrance at the veterinarian's office in good old Chester, Vermont, drop in some time and tell me what you think of it. ... for #InsectThursday
