I am very confused by the outrage about this female character. Not because people are mad about a woman in a game (we’ve had shitheels whining about that for decades) but because I’ve had this female character for that faction in the game for several months!

This is what you consider a controversial post? Someone reposting someone else saying Trump should stop promoting violence? Is anyone other than you bothered by any of this?

I think someone slipped him a copy of the secret woke training film used by radicals to train infiltrators to the academy.

And as a bonus, I checked how much it would cost to deliver 4 chicken and rice bowls from taco bowl to my house. Answer: approximately $60!

Was curious what it might look like so I figured out how to make a $60 rice bowl with 8 items. But it requires buying precut vegetables, frozen rice instead of a giant sack, instacart getting a cut, and paying someone to bring it to your doorstep. And you get at least four of them!

This is my favorite part. He says it ‘knows’ it messed up but the AI can’t ‘know’ anything. The model identified that the response most likely to seem appropriate to being yelled at is one containing elements of contrition. If the damn thing could know things it would know what Code Freeze meant!

I appreciate how he evaluates the performance of Trump appointees by who they vote with, as if he’s evaluating assists on a basketball team and not judicial opinions.

Stopping a court intervening on gerrymandered maps: Conservative!
A court intervening in ballot counting: Also conservative!

The 1970s version:
“Around the time of Virginia v Loving, where the Supreme Court legalized interracial marriage in all states, the US became a ‘negative world’. Holding traditional views on miscegenation and the separation of the races became a negative in high-status circles.”

Shit wasn’t strong enough, you need to be a little firmer. Not ideal for usage at work, sadly.

I looked up the data they discuss on the foundations website. While the measure they came up with is higher than the headline rate, it also closely tracks it.

“I will lobby congress to grant me the legal authority to take serious action” is not the language of someone who disrespects the rule of law. It’s the language of someone committed to working within the law!

This person supports Trump. He didn’t vote for him of course, seeing as he’s an UNDOCUMENTED GUATEMALAN DAY LABORER! But any world where people like him don’t realize how dangerous the election of Donald Trump is to them is one where truth and reason are in pretty poor shape.

Somehow none of the stupid choices the NYT has made over the last couple years have gotten me to cancel yet but the Washington Post, which I was always happy with, manage to convince me all at once. That’s some impressive fucking cowardice, Bezos.

The entire North American market for physical comic books (not counting manga dominated GN’s) is less than $500M. If we consider hardcore fans as people who spend $25+/month, that means there are max 800k of them, and likely many many fewer. <500k nerds didn’t spend $2B to see the Endgame.

Someone’s discovered the secret to not coming across as a complete idiot and tool when being interviewed by Isaac Chotiner. When he points out how stupid or terrible something you’re discussing is, acknowledge it!
