🚨 The vote to determine Israel's participation in #Eurovision 2026 will no longer take place in November, the EBU has confirmed today.

Instead, an "open and in-person discussion" will take place at the EBU General Assembly in December. No vote is currently planned.

📡 Contrary to what Israeli broadcaster Kan claims in a statement on Twitter, the EBU has confirmed to The Times of Israel that for November's vote a simple majority (>50%) is needed to remove Israel from #Eurovision 2026, not 75%.

Ten members voted in favor, four against, and one member abstained.

A final decision on Ireland’s participation will be made after the EBU’s decision on Israel.

Two semi-finals will take place on 22 February and 1 March, with the final held one week later on 8 March.
