And yet the share of renting households who are cost burdened has risen by 25% since the turn of the century, most acutely for low-income households.

Emma Barnett: “[Trump] has also called him an antisemite. What is he saying to those who didn’t support him?”

That question is not journalism. That is Donald Trump level “some people are saying”-type smearing. Barnett is an absolute disgrace.

There is a lot of hand-wringing about the percentage of spoiled ballots in the Irish presidential election, but the real red flag and the thing we should be looking into is where are young men getting their information from.

An excellent piece, but I struggled to get my head around this statement.

Surely there are real economies of scale on the last two of these (and to a lesser degree in the first, though much harder to achieve if you are poor?)

The NYT thinks it’s important you know Gaza Health Ministry numbers don’t distinguish between combatant and civilian dead Palestinian children.

What’s interesting about this is that when you strip out refuseniks and IDKs, the vote split in N.I. is pretty much bang on what the result in the Republic was.

Oh yeah NYT, a real mystery. What could it be?

Update: if you hang around in the shop long enough, you eventually get the option to sign up to what looks like a marketing email list although it doesn’t tell you it’s a marketing email list.

By giving over my email I get a unique discount code for her “Phonics bundle”. Eventually we get research.

A story of one of the most unethical Instagram marketing campaigns I have ever seen. You don’t get led to the research, you get taken to her SHOP where she is trying to sell you things you.

Update below…

I’m old enough to remember when it was allegedly antisemitic to call the Government of Israel “fascist”.

Meanwhile, the Government of Israel is proudly hosting British neo-fascist agitators.

Well done to the @libdems.org.uk on Oxford County Council for designing a congestion charge that _appears_ to allow the residents of Oxford’s most affluent areas to drive to the city centre free of charge while charging working people.

Brilliantly reading the political moment – well done!

Dear me, what has happened the Jewish Chronicle?

Anyone with a GCSE in Spanish, or access to Google, could tell you Cúmplice Innocente means “Innocent Accomplice”, not “Complicit”.

It seems the new editorial team are happy to just make things up to support flimsy accusations of antisemitism.
