We look forward to continuing our partnership with Mikie to achieve a 100% clean energy future by 2035 and hold polluters accountable.”

Mikie is the strongest candidate to take on Jack Ciattarelli and to fight for the values New Jerseyans care about: clean air and water, preserving open space, lower energy costs, and taking bold action on climate change.

New Jersey LCV endorsed Mikie because she’s committed to preserving our precious remaining open spaces, removing harmful pollution from our water, and rapidly expanding in state clean energy generation and tonight we are confident New Jersey feels that way, too.

However, others like experts with @nrdc.org told me PJM’s backlog of clean energy projects in #NewJersey (namely for solar) has been a major issue.

@edpotosnak.bsky.social said “nuclear is the most expensive form of energy and we need to really think carefully about” how we move forward.

Clean energy is the cheapest energy -- thank you @govmurphy.bsky.social for your continued leadership on driving down electricity costs with clean energy. If just 30% of the clean energy projects were approved by the regional utility operator, PJM, the last rate auction would have been 63% lower! ⬇️

Currently the utility scale energy providers vote in private for their dirty & more expensive projects. If just 30% of the clean energy projects in the regional grid-which are ready to plug in-were selected the auction would have been 63% less-imagine if all of them were connected?! bit.ly/3DNx3Eo
PJM’s Capacity Auction: The Real Story
Fossil fuel un-reliability and PJM’s failure to speedily connect new clean resources to the grid are to blame for the 2025/26 auction price spike.
