I keep a bottle of meds in my laptop bag, and the 5mg methylphenidate looks an awful lot like the 10mg diazepam. It makes afternoons at work a game of roulette!

Honourable mention goes to Simulacrum Synthesizer from the Big Score bonus sheet. I love blue artifact decks, and this card has so many build around possibilities. It may well be my favourite card of the year.

My favourite art from Bloomburrow is Dour Port-Mage by @rpancoast.bsky.social. I love the atmosphere and the colour palette. Such a great piece.

Honourable mentions go to the wonderfully designed Sheltered by Ghosts, and my favourite creature from the set, Abhorrent Occulus. Duskmourn is such a great set!

I love blue artifact decks, so Simulacrum Synthesizer gets my vote. I still haven’t found the perfect home for it, but part of the fun is figuring out that puzzle.

Nulldrifter is an awesome choice tho. Great card 👍

Honourable mention goes to Sun-Blessed Healer. A versatile card with lots of potential upside. I’m tempted to put this in a Vintage deck so I can play it kicked on turn 1 to bring back Black Lotus!

Personally I like Obliterating Bolt in that slot. There’s a lot of relevant 4 toughness creatures in the format. Sorcery speed is definitely a drawback tho.

Skulking Ghost by Robert Bliss from Mirage. One of the first cards I opened, and I immediately fell in love with this art.
