I’m posting my favourite card from every Magic set. Today’s set is DMU, and the card is Tolarian Terror.
I really like building decks around cost reduction mechanics, and I love U spells decks. This card has also been one of my favourite additions to Pauper in a long time.

I really like the Prototype mechanic in BRO. It makes cards versatile, creates interesting decisions, and makes for fun combos with blink and reanimator effects.

It might not be the flashiest card, but is such a unique design, and is a great way to advance your game plan while slowing your opponent. I love the artwork too.

Honourable mention goes to Simulacrum Synthesizer from the Big Score bonus sheet. I love blue artifact decks, and this card has so many build around possibilities. It may well be my favourite card of the year.

Honourable mention goes to Sun-Blessed Healer. A versatile card with lots of potential upside. I’m tempted to put this in a Vintage deck so I can play it kicked on turn 1 to bring back Black Lotus!
