Europe by Rail 🇫🇷🇲🇨🇮🇹: Avignon, Monaco, Liguria, Turin
Tram tracks in Avignon. On one side of the tracks is a road, segregated by trees, and on the other is a cycle track and the city walls. The tram tracks are fringed by green grass. Interior of Monaco Monte Carlo train station. It's an underground setting, with a wide concrete arch punctuated by spotlights. There is seating, ample lighting and some natural wooden materials lining the lower edges of the arch. A regional train has just arrived and passengers are alighting. A quiet pedestrianized street in a medieval Italian village. There are two-storey buildings either side of the street and a modest church in the distance. The street itself is quiet paved with black slate and a few people are walking in the distance An arched doorway on a cobbled street in Turin. Some public art on the wall depicts a bronze cast bill bursting from the masonry of an otherwise whitewashed wall.

Yesterday I was briefly in Manchester to catch some Indian metal in the form of Bloodywood. Incredibly high energy levels and I suspect they'll be playing bigger venues sooner rather than later...
