Nacht was stil maar duister — op een enkele lichtbundel van een voorbijrazende auto na. Laatste stroom was gister eind-ochtend. Kraanwater nog een zwak (koud) straaltje. Kachel is uit. Langzaam wordt het fris, maar buiten is het nog niet zo koud. #Kharkiv

'Verkiezingsviezigheid' moet in de Van Dale. Poëtisch. Het electoraat is als een schoolklas vol tegendraadse en verwende pestkoppen die je in het gareel moet houden en opvoeden. Voor hun eigen bestwil. Jopie is de klier van een amanuensis die de klas opstookt tegen de docent. Wat een verschutting.
Die verkiezingsviezigheid is blijkbaar onontkoombaar. Triest maar waar. Maar nu de strijd gestreden is lijkt het me tijd te stoppen met de toneelstukjes. Volwassen mensen praten niet met DJ Jopie of Nazinga. Die gaan iets nuttigs doen met de verantwoordelijkheid die ze is toebedeeld.

So I officially canceled my long awaited trip to USA. As long as its government is against anything I stand for, its president is a lunatic and its followers loons, I have no desire whatsoever to visit the country that I once called home.
