Many ADE projects have received essential support from the NEH, and their work will be inhibited through the loss of previously awarded grants. Please see the NHA call to action:
Today (4/3/25) we learned that DOGE has begun terminating previously awarded NEH grants. We understand this includes operating grants to the state and jurisdictional humanities councils, scholarly societies, community orgs, & individuals.

The Lyman H. Butterfield Award Committee seeks nominations for the 2025 award. Since 1985, the ADE has presented the award annually to recognize recent contributions in the areas of documentary publication, teaching, and service. Nominations are due April 11, 2025. Find out more: buff.ly/3EQjy75

Riley's dissertation bridges women's and gender, military, and immigration history. The prize will assist her research on Japanese and Korean "war brides."
