ICE detain father shopping on Christmas Eve—then steal his family's groceries.

Then 3 agents divvy up his paid for food—taking what they want for themselves.

"Can I just get the wife's number to call and let her know?" woman asks.

"No, guess he should've complied," agent says.

Just discovered that you can buy a bin compactor. Don’t need one but intrigued all the same.

If you take a couple of kids don’t expect to spend less than £80 for a visit to the funfair. Even with a resident discount. #Edinburgh

Nobles is now Bellfield Leith, and the transition is a sensitive one. This gorgeous pub keeps its historic charm but adds a fantastic beer selection. A look back at when I visited on Day One for the Bia burger pop-up.
Review: Nobles by Bellfield, a worthy successor to Leith's Nobles - Edinburgh Reviews
Bellfield takes over Leith's iconic Nobles bar, and it's a triumph. The stunning brass and stained-glass interior is safe, now with Bellfield's (gluten-free!) craft beer on tap. Guest kitchen Bia provided delicious burgers on a buzzing, dog-friendly opening night.

It’s a real shame that Edintravel only exists on X. Can’t be that hard to also copy posts to here. Can it? #Edinburgh

Good luck trying to find a space for a case on board a Lumo to London. It was bad enough starting at Edinburgh. They often keep two seats free at the rear of the carriage to pile cases on. Still hopeless.

Monday timetable. 0700 drive to Glasgow. 1000 train from Glasgow to Edinburgh. 1500 train from Edinburgh to Glasgow. 1700 drive back to Edinburgh. Don’t ask.

The most frustrating part of this whole thing is that the Registers of Scotland could, if they were more public spirited, just publish these figures. It should not require people to pay extra to get basic info that is ordinarily disclosed.

Two victims of previous school shootings — Mia Tretta, who was shot in the stomach in 2019 at Saugus High School, and Zoe Weissman, who survived the 2018 shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School — are now at Brown. Gun violence is out of control in this country.

Downloaded the Netflix film Jay Kelly starring George Clooney to watch on the train. Gave up after an hour. Self indulgent rubbish full of characters talking without drawing breath.

Edinburgh gets a bad rep for the state of the communal bins. However kudos to them for providing so many places to have sex.

Having to get an early train when it’s cold and dark. Even the train feels cold. Stations are always the coldest places too. 🚅🥶

You’d think that given the prices Costa charge they could afford to keep a place in good order.

In London fairly regularly and I can see a huge difference from ten years ago. A lot of bicycles around now.
London is fast becoming a cycling city. As each new piece in the network appears—which has more than quadrupled from 90 to 431 km since 2016—so do new cyclists. Its infrastructure now sees a stunning 1.5 million daily users—a 43% spike since 2019—moving nearly half as many people as the Tube below.🧵
