How do bees make their honey? It all starts with foraging—worker bees fly up to 5 miles in search of nectar, burning through a huge amount of energy along the way. Once collected, the nectar is passed from bee to bee, gradually reducing its moisture until it thickens into the honey 🍯

Did you know bees have favourite food? 🌼 It’s all about nectar and pollen! Bees are drawn to plants that offer the best rewards—high nectar content, rich pollen, and colours they can easily spot (blues, purples & yellows). Some favourites include lavender, borage, heather, and fruit blossoms 🍏🍓.

📜🐝 "Telling the Bees": An ancient tradition where beekeepers share life’s milestones—births, marriages, and deaths—with their hives. Its origins are uncertain but may trace back to Celtic mythology.

Immortalised in Whittier’s 1858 poem, it still endures today 💛✨
