Mirrodin week: Playing a deck with some kind of +1 counter synergy? Then War Elemental can get out of hand FAST. It's in less than 6k decks, and the RRR casting cost can be a problem, but if you can deal with that it can get out of control.

Gut, True Soul Zealot is the EDHREC Commander of the Day. Commonly paired with Agent of the Iron Throne and Inspiring Leader, Gut seems like a pretty chill goblin who just wants to do a little stabbing followed by reanimating your bones. You do you, Gut.

Mirrodin week: Wail of the Nim is another infrequently-seen card from Mirrodin. It's an instant-speed way to dodge creature removal, maybe for your whole board, and it can also remove a bunch of little guys. Maybe both.

Mirri, Cat Warrior is the EDHREC card of the day. First printed back in Exodus, Mirri remains the only creature with the combination of first strike, forestwalk and vigilance. We're not convinced those shoulder pads are effective armor, however.

Aphelia, Viper Whisperer is the EDHRE Commander of the Day, and what's not to love about this card? Great art, efficient cost, two awesome creature types, and interesting, unique abilities. Jumpstart 2025 was filled with great legends, and Aphelia is one of the best.
