Damn, you had your own version of the "Have I seen The Wire?" moment.

Anyway, I guess you could sum up a lot of my feelings on the response to Navi with a dril tweet:

This is a picture of Jake after he heard the sound in that clip. I liked it, though.

21. Jennifer's Body (2009)

"Do you buy ALL your murder weapons at Home Depot? God, you're butch!"

Diablo Cody's script is remarkable and intensely quotable, and this is Megan Fox's best performance. A cult classic.

20. The Exorcist (1973)

"What an excellent day for an exorcism."

What do you even say at this point? A perfect film. Friedkin made The French Connection, this, and Sorcerer back to back to back. Remarkable run.

19. Doctor Sleep (2019)

The Director's Cut, which is longer but a better film. Flanagan does the best you probably could while working in the confines of the original film (which changes the book quite a bit) and the novel itself. Great performances. Not outstanding, but good, with lots of heart.

18. The Shining (1980)

A very good adaptation (though different in a lot of ways) of King's novel. Jack Nicholson and Shelly Duvall are incredible, it’s beautifully shot, and it's still horrifying. Not my favorite Kubrick joint (that's Full Metal Jacket), but always a pleasure.

17. Heart Eyes (2025)

Didn’t catch this one in theaters, but a surprisingly good horror romance. Was surprised by how much I loved it. Smart, funny, just a really damn enjoyable slasher flick with a fun gimmick and likeable leads.

16. Dog Soldiers (2002)

"I hope I give you the shits, you fuckin' wimp."

Neil Marshall's best, with all respect to The Descent, and maybe the best werewolf flick. Funny, gore-y, smart, does a ton on a small budget with some great performances. Watch it if you haven't.

15. Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992)

Not the trust adaptation of the novel, but still the best. Oldman and Hopkins are incredible, the cinematography and effects are stunning, and Ryder is underappreciated. Absurdly stylish. Coppola was cooking out of his mind. I think about Tom Waits' Renfield a lot.

14. The Conjuring 2 (2016)

Not as interesting as the original (and the climax isn't nearly as strong), but a good sequel. The Warrens were frauds, but these events make for some good stories.
