I’ve finally caught Covid (possibly for the first time - look at me being fashionably late). It’s passed through and I waved it off with a walk in the Upper Dove valley yesterday. I couldn’t get the sunset from the valley bottom, but caught this on the way home

It’s taken a few years, but this afternoon I climbed the last of the 95 most significant hills in the Peak District (Ethels) with some important friends. Thank you.

I think we need to be a bit careful here. No doubt he’s talking bollocks for an audience, but HE already carries out a wide range of roles (research is only part of the mix). Nobody objects when we train doctors, teachers etc. The text below is from the Robbins Report (1963) #NotAllOxbridge

I took a walk in the dark last night across the fields behind my home town. Occasionally I come across a herd of deer; this is the first time I’ve met them in the snow.

One of the best things about living in Nottingham is the annual Hockley Hustle: 400 bands playing across the city today. Noise were brilliant this afternoon
