Honoring Alex Ovechkin for being the only player in NHL history to reach the 900-goal milestone. We've been so fortunate to have him in DC for his entire career, and we can all say we were alive when he played. Hoping he closes this season out with one more Stanley Cup.

Ate at Darkside last night, a place that serves up nostalgia right alongside some awesome pizza. THE BLACK HOLE is one of my childhood favorites that I still adore. So when I walked in and this was the first thing I saw... yeah. I knew this was the place for me.

Meet Hugh, our skeleton--so named after the skeleton used during the title sequence of DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE. We hung him on our lamppost which we outfitted with a color-changing bulb. The results are kinda awesome. Hope y'all had a good #Halloween!

The poster from the 1978 film HALLOWEEN. The title is at the top, the words "The Night He Came Home!" are close to the left edge, and the cast and crew list is at the bottom. The central image is a stylized pumpkin tilted a bit so the pumpkin's vertical ribs get progressively bigger from the outer edge on the right going inward to the middle. The ribs end with a fist holding a chef's knife, curved to match the curves of the pumpkin ribs. But of note is the fact that a face can be seen in the fist--eyes, nose, and mouth are created by the peaks and valleys of the knuckles.

It's here! KT Tunstall's brilliant debut album has two of my all-time favorite songs, "Other Side of the World" and "Heal Over"; the rest of the album is just as strong. She's done a repressing for its 20th anniversary, and it's well worth a revisit.
