The first step to dismantling white supremacy, as a white person, is becoming able to understand that You Are Part Of The Problem. This is not a comfortable process and requires a lot of awkwardness, self-reflection, and willingness to expose yourself to criticism and correction.

But this is the trap. This is how fascism sneaks in - you cannot, CANNOT, fight it Out There in society without knowing how to recognize it from the inside. Because in most of the forms it actually takes, it is stealthy and adaptable and you live in a habitat that allows it to thrive.

I think too many white leftists still see white supremacy as something that happens "out there" and that because they personally are anti-white supremacy, they aren't capable of propagating it
