The problem with much of the centrist commentariat swinging behind the "Britain is broken" idea is not only that the right are weaponizing it to sell their xenophobic/racist narratives, it's also that despair itself has social consequence. Britain is great! It is also in need of public investment.

Something for governments around the world to consider.
Again: the theory of IRA was that policy could cut through politics. It was proven wrong. It will be proven wrong the next time they try it too.

They are going to figure out how to win in this info environment or they're going to keep losing.

Labour should phase out gas plants on our terms — rather than that of the billionaires.
