Your occasional reminder that a child is 3 times more likely to die if hit by a car on a 30mph road than on a 20mph road. We need a 20mph national speed limit in urban areas, with 30mph being the exception. Risk of death for pedestrians, cyclists, and motorcyclists.

In cities, towns and villages, a 20mph/30kmh limit is the "sweet spot" to balance mobility, safety, livability, noise, emissions and freedom. In Wales it reduced casualties by 28% and insurance premiums by approx. £50 pa also making Welsh places better places to be. It's global best practice.
