With more instances of Donald Trump appearing fatigued or forgetful, Americans are again seeing evidence of a president who lacks the energy to do his demanding job, @dgraham.bsky.social argues.

It's great that the media, Congress is going all Watergate on one of Trump's many crimes, the 'double-tap' murder of 2 Caribbean sailors

But the reality is that Trump's death cult has killed hundreds of thousands, mostly through senseless USAID cuts

The Heritage Foundation wrote Project 2025. The Federalist Society built a judicial pipeline. The RNC enforces party discipline. A conservative media manufactures consent. State legislature maps choose their voters. Dark money networks fund the operation.
Trump is their most effective instrument.

Trump did not break the system. He is the product of a party that spent half a century crafting the tools to end American democracy.

The Bulwark: "In other words: Hegseth was there, watching live, but didn’t issue any orders, but was extremely happy that the spirit of the orders he never issued were executed anyway, which he then took credit for in real time and hailed as a glorious triumph without revealing that it wasn’t. "

There is now zero respect for the command staff of the American military. This is murder, and there appears to be not one person with the courage to enforce the law. trump has reduced the United States to a beyond third-world status.

Trump dozes while Marco Rubio speaks to him directly next to him. Just insane optics.

It's great that reporting on the double tap has spotlighted the abject criminality of this Administration.

But don't forget: Venezuela is not waging war on America or Americans, and the men killed were not combatants.

The first strike was every bit as illegal as the second.

“Hegseth is very transparently blaming a Navy admiral for his own decision. Let this be a lesson for every other military officer: The Trump administration will issue unlawful orders, then blame you for following them.”

America survives when its leaders put country before self. It collapses when they do not. Right now, the cracks are blatantly showing.

The cruelty of this administration, the reckless cutting of USAID, the elimination of food support, and the deliberate starving of vulnerable people around the world could lead to more death than any modern leader. I stand by that. What is happening is not politics, it is moral collapse.

The Holocaust didn’t begin with camps. It began with dehumanization. With silence. With the normalization of cruelty and the steady erosion of accountability. It began when ordinary people started telling themselves it wasn’t their problem, until it was.

Pretty remarkable that Trump has installed someone on the Saudi dole — Jared Kushner collects millions in fees from the Saudis every year — in a key role for America's most sensitive and consequential foreign policy negotiations (Gaza, Ukraine), and it is largely TREATED AS A NON-STORY

Mamdani’s words weren’t a celebration, but of belonging. Democracy is not something done to us, but done by us, with our hands, our stories, our willingness to stay in the work even when the outcome feels uncertain.
It looks like that, quiet, human, persistent.
Hope isn’t naive. It’s practiced.

It is very challenging to remain calm when this regime is so comfortable weaponizing hunger, abusing its citizens, and essentially saying, "We'll do whatever we want and you are powerless to stop us."
We MUST do better! Our children deserve a future.
