Posted a new article on Humans as Ecosystem Engineers. It's been a plan as an article to coincide with my blog and social media name. I hope you enjoy!

The 2001 Roadless Rule is in trouble. Currently, it protects more than 50 million acres of US Wilderness from development and resource extraction. I’m encouraging anyone who sees this to write a public comment- due September 19th.

I'm late to my scheduled post this week because I was sick, but I was able to get out something this morning. This is likely the end of my "once every two weeks" test. I think I'm going to lean into the "3 weeks on 1 week" off posting schedule.

On Wednesday, on my SubStack, I posted my last post on my "3 weeks on one week off" test. So this upcoming week I won't post and I will start again with the "once every other week" posting schedule alternating between writing and art.

My collection of Scarlet Macaw photos from January 2023. I was doing research on spider and beetle biodiversity in Mastatal, Costa Rica with CSUMB.

The program I was apart of, LSAMP, was terminated by the NSF on May 2nd, 2025. It devastating that less students will have the opportunity I did.

A good friend of mine gave me some wildflower seeds that her job was giving out, knowing I like to grow things (Even if I'm not always successful). I've also been quite interested in guerilla gardening. So I checked the list to see if they were native and so far I have found few.
