Interesting read for inflation & ML enthusiasts:
Lenza at al. look at non-linearities in the Euro Area inflation process. A surprising finding is that expert judgement helps correct mostly linear ECB projections for mild non-linearities. The resulting forecast alligns well with ML model predictions:
