Amateur photographer in Morgan County, Indiana. I am particularly interested in local ecology and the positive impact that an individual can have on the biodiversity of one's own property by removing invasive plants and planting native species instead.
Stagmomantis carolina (Carolina Mantis) on Solidago sp. (goldenrod). The Carolina mantis is Indiana's only native mantis species; it is smaller and more intricately patterned than the more commonly seen introduced Chinese and European mantis species.
