Spent lovely time for two months in Korea. Huge thanks to tremendous support from @fos-uhh.bsky.social Had two book launch events, thanks to a passionate activist researcher Yoon Seok Jang (left in the picture). My book is competing against "STOP THE STEAL".. Will mine beat it ever?🧐

This book is written to lay the cornerstone for my works on the meaning of post-anthropocentric peace, while its remit is to identify the structural drivers of ecocidal tendencies. Please spread the words to your Korean networks🤩

Yoon and his party's actions are utterly outrageous. Lest we forget, however, people power didnt rise to serve another oligarchs of the construction state: the Dems also has expanded green-washed mega-construction projects and military spending while oppressing progressive campaingers..

This man has a lot of masks still not unveiled.. but considering his role as power broker in manipulating polls and 'advising' politicians (and offering them shaman rituals like tree planting) I see Chungong as K-Rasputin (wannabe) while Myung is a male version of Choi Soon-Sil..sort of Karl Rove🤔

Arguably the 1987 democratisation and the 2017 "candlelight revolution" couldn't be successful without mass workers' protests and strikes but the "revolutions" quickly cooled down desires for equality other than "the restoration of the (liberal-market) democratic order". Will this time be different?

Martial law came as a huge shock to many, and Yoon has shown extremely deviant behaviours (as a "liberal" leader). But adding to extreme conservatism, there have been dangerous tendencies (red-tagging, fearmongering, militarism, North Korea, poverty..) that feed Yoon and his friends' insane plan..
