A month ago, in collaboration with South African National Biodiversity Institute, my collagues and I had a wonderful workshop on illegal succulent trade between South Korea and South Africa. Our project is funded by the UK Illegal Wildlife Trade Challenge Fund

Since the martial law in Korea I've been silent cuz of my headache.. still the political situation is crazy but despite embarrassment, I published a book on resisting ecocide and green justice (printed in Korean) with the May Books publisher🫡

South Korean customs recently captured more than a dozen of illegal wildlife traffickers, who attempted to smuggle approx. 1,800 animals including komodo dragons. While this came as a shock, it would be more shocking if told that most of these animals and plants (almost 100%) are "removed" by law..🤕
