Can't find the "please lick my bum a bit less today" setting. I can only find a generic "Custom instructions" field in the settings. I have most of my conversations in ChatGPT, I don't know enough about how much that helps it puts answers in context yet so I'm not ready to move to Gemini

You think they're the same people who voted for Trump just to see how crazy it could get?

The width of the chart is important for perception. Claude's chart needs to be wider. Of course, now I want to see the chart for the world. For impact, though, this is still my fav WTF chart: Holocene global temperatures, with the Ice Age before it and the climate crisis after.

Big Oil is the problem. It's a Big Oil crisis. It doesn't shy away from anything. "What are we going to do about the Big Oil crisis?" - "Better shut down Big Oil." - "Ah, OK. So that's it?"

Hate to rain on the only optimistic note there but 49% is still game over, just like cricket, or Brexit. My point is, we need reality to be real to everyone, not just 49%. I blame social media. Meta, YT and X are like Murdoch on steroids.

He is suggesting that everyone figured it was fine. I think the crux point is when according to his narration neoliberals told the government to stop enforcing anti-competition law. This neoliberal ideology has always only ever been for fruitcakes though. How come everyone went along with it?

“The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.” George Orwell, "1984." You're committing thoughtcrime.

"... able to fund the public services ... by ... tax": just that combination of words shows his grasp of economics is old school mainstream, i.e. an ignorant apology for capitalism rather than any attempt at a true understanding. He either hasn't listened to Polanski on economics or he scoffs at it.

What are you watching it on? Is it netflix or Norwegian TV or what? I have never seen that notification until now. Does it flash up when the product is on screen?

Another interesting fact that on closer inspection is probably completely unrelated to this, is that teenagers for the first time in human existence now know more about other people than they do about themselves, thanks to social media.

Nigeria, for example, needs 40TWh per annum. And if they went solar, perhaps Trump would stop bullying them 😆
December 28, 2025 at 3:27 PM
But we need to compare apples and oranges. There is massive potential with solar panels if these figures are correct, because annual production of solar panels stands at about $125 billion, i.e. the world creates that 1TWh annual capacity 1,250 times over. What are the figures for hydrogen?

Tell me why DeepSeek, Gemini, and ChatGPT all have exactly the same interface, exactly the same smarmy ingratiating responses and don't seem to have any distinguishing features?

oh no, you're just a Steve bot aren't you?

I will sign it if my AI engine of choice recommends it.
