Oh, just to add to the below, up to 70% of honeybees in the US have mysteriously died in the past few months, decimating the honey industry & - if the deaths continue at this rate - the US’s ability to produce enough food.

Still, I’m sure slashing more environmental protections will soon fix this…
This week we found out:

We’re driving fungi - vital to all life - to extinction.
We’re rapidly destroying soil - the stuff that gives us food.

One of the people fired from NOAA today is the director of the Ocean Acidification Program. That program also leads the U.S. government's effort on marine carbon dioxide removal (mCDR). The destruction of American science is incomprehensible.
