I try to allow for as much independance as possible but the number of broken dishes are adding up.

The loud clanging of dishes slipping into the sink out of sheer laziness (not lack of ability) and carelessness is really triggering worse, it's becoming unsafe for my kid. #sandwichgenstruggles

I feel better after a good cry. But then I feel like a lunatic from being "normal" after crying. Thanks trauma.

It be the people who have repressed emotions— calling people, who express their emotions, immature.

Being stoic doesn’t make you an adult.
Infantilizing and shaming adults is pathetic behavior.

After a childhood of being told to be seen and not heard, I refuse. My emotions are mine. Only.

I don't feel heard. Rarely do. Maybe I'm playing victim. Idek. But I've only come to realize this recently. A sad reality but, I think I'm handling that part well, considering my circumstances.

Seems as if there is no benefit to being 'strong.'

When you finally find the courage to reach out to someone to vent to, seek support or help you process things, then learn that said person is not truly a "safe" person....it's incredibly discouraging.

Another day, another hostile outburst. #sandwichgenstruggles It's great, I'm getting flashbacks of my early childhood and realizing how all the pieces of the puzzle fit together. I almost feel bad for myself. 🤥

Kiah was set to join our faculty at Howard Law School in the Fall. She was a dedicated, brilliant civil rights lawyer poised to make a powerful difference in our world.

Our hearts are broken & we pray for her family & friends.

Having an unstable/insecure idek just unhealthy attachment to a parent you care for is not for the weak. Can't really say that I'm strong though. Doesn't feel like it during this phase of life. More often I think about assisted living or palliative care...let them manage the hostility.

I dad is angry with me today.
I know I did not do anything wrong.

He asked me what ingredients were in his oatmeal today and because I did not give him an immediate & direct answer he went batsh*t on me yelling at the top of his lungs.

This has been happening more often, in public too.

I finished my first book of the year.
Gotta love Libby!

Our public library system is great, but we are missing a lot of relevant titles that make me go...."hmmm..." 🤔🧐

The Biology of Belief.
What are you currently reading?

I've been through so much 💩 in my life.

Thank goodness I don't own all the problems in the world but, let me tell you...Sandwich Gen-ers who are caregiving are doing the MOST. 😣

Just a reminder that your local library has more than books! Many also have dvds, cds, video games, game systems, internet hot spots, streaming services, ebooks, audio books, park passes, museum passes, and so much more! Maybe it's time for a visit! ❤️📚
