I felt a similar way with singing and piano lessons as a young teen. Like all the technical training would take away the magic people told me I had. NOW, I'm like 'Oh, you foolish, pompous dimwit...' But YOU not pursuing singing as a career for such a reason is NOT pompous. I was just dumb. 😅
