If they want to put a billion in, they must be wanting to take an awful lot more than a billion out.

Where I am, in the west, we regularly see them going round clearing such drains.

But am concerned that frequency might have reduced.

However, because I only see them in passing, my observations could be very biased.

They might have entirely different homelands.

And if the parents were in the so-called homeland(s) with only temporary right to remain there?

I suspect the number of complex, confusing cases without obvious paths to resolution will be significant.

What happens to someone born in the UK to temporary refugees?

Consider, if parent(s) still here, I imagine they could all be deported.

But if parents not here (dead, unknown, etc.), what then?

About 2/3 eat their main Christmas meal at lunchtime.
About 2/3 of those eat turkey.
Which makes it about 44% eat turkey for Christmas lunch.

And I doubt that it has been 50% for at least several years.

For those who eat Seitan as their plant-based meat substitute, perhaps the Quern Laws?

So that they don't stumble around and get in the way but positively contribute.

Or just stay at home and do nothing because they don't know how to help.

While the fire service might be the appropriate body to oversee dealing with flooding, they can NEVER have enough people and resources to deal with widespread problems.

Maybe we need a way for people to volunteer to help? That is, with some training and a contact system.

I definitely believe you on this matter.

Though I'm always wary of what SV says, this seems more likely than some.

Sell it to a group of film makers to use as a set for innumerable "historical" films?

Use proceeds to pay for new facilities.

Will we also have a "Sealed Knot Society" re-enactment society?

The Guthrie heel prick test, new in 1965, did not detect congenital hypothyroidism (added in 1980) and cystic fibrosis (added 2007).

Haves and have nots.

Goodness knows how many relying on SNAP.

And another goodness knows how many buying an over-priced and "Why would anyone want one of those?" item.

I'm not, never have been on FB. But I am absolutely sick of people on other platforms discussing things advertised, pushed, on FB, etc. Typically asking if they are scams.

Answer is always that OF COURSE they are.

If someone is putting little cookies on saucers, unwrapped, there is every possibility of crumbs falling in to the drink.

Also, unwrapped, it is difficult to identify the ingredients in order to check for all the ingredients - whether due to allergy, ethics, religion, etc.

I **like** the idea.
