Me, currently writing a paper on a topic that I’m still learning about while on a healthier diet plan (aka less amounts of my usual cheat snacks that helped me write my dissertation)

This past weekend, I was hooded back in Cincinnati as part of UCincy’s fall graduation exercises. It was great to go back and celebrate this achievement with family and friends, and to be hooded by an extremely influential mentor.

I guess I’m now “offically” Dr. Evan C. Brooks!

I'm excited to share that I’ve accepted a postdoc in the Department of Craniofacial Biology at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine! I will continue to pursue my interests in cell signaling and craniofacial development.
Now onto finish the dissertation and prepare for the defense!

Presented my dissertation work at the Society for #Craniofacial Genetics and Developmental Biology in Cincinnati this week. First platform talk at a conference was nerve-racking, but so worth it in the end - and ending it with a successfully planned trainee dinner social! #cilia #devbio
