White academics, if you REALLY want to disrupt academia and dismantle the imbalances that exist within it, start taking Black, Brown, Indigenous, queer/trans, and disabled scholars' work seriously.

Fly us out for interviews. Cite us. Pay us for talks.

I love that these different Americas are separated by different categories in multiple identity groups… perhaps because identity is intersectional and healthcare must utilize an intersectional approach to reduce disparities :)
There exist at least 10 Americas within the USA

Physicians should support UBI. So many health benefits including improved childhood development (higher IQ), decreased suicide, improved mortality. Long thread but well worth the read covering these benefits and much more
I've been researching the idea of Unconditional Universal Basic Income since 2013. Here's a collection of findings I've compiled from various UBI experiments and studies of cash transfer programs around the world.

This will be a VERY LONG and ongoing thread focused entirely on empirical evidence. 🧵

I’ve been asked how this is possible evolutionarily.

I have a few thoughts. 🧵

An interesting study of gaps between “healthspan” (yrs of healthy life) & “lifespan” across the globe.

Takeaway: the US has amongst the largest gaps, despite relatively low lifespan.

And women in the US have even bigger gaps. 🛟🩺🧪😷
