The last time I owned anything Trump-related, I burned it.

It was a candle. An orange candle, shaped like his head. A friend drew a Hitler mustache on it and we burned it on election night 2020.

Burn more Trump shit. But only if it’s free. Don’t feed the beast.
Okay so I write about perfume in my spare time and I would pay twenty American dollars to know what these smell like

no one cares that this is illegal but it is illegal and seems like something that might trip the court’s “major questions” doctrine
Per @npr.org, the Department of Homeland Security, in partnership with the White House U.S. DOGE Service, has built a searchable national citizenship register with data from the Social Security Administration & immigration records— without public notice & comment.

The Trump administration is building a national citizenship data system
The Department of Homeland Security, with help from DOGE, has rolled out a tool that purports to be able to check the citizenship status of almost all Americans.

In Skrmetti, the Court turned to a decades-old decision once thought to be consigned to history.

Absolutely nothing surprises me anymore. The only thing that would jolt me is if Congress suddenly came back to life and grew a fucking spine.

Much as I would not dare to predict the consequences of this war, I do think we can summarize it thusly so far:

We’ve bombed Iran. And dismantled our joint terrorism task force. And sent a third of the FBI to help ICE. And gutted the National Security Council. And a drunk guy is in charge at the pentagon. And our intelligence allies probably won’t share intel with us. Because people couldn’t vote for a woman.
