It's incredibly expensive to pay the Guard to do this kind of thing. It'd be cheaper to put that $$ into existing (likely unionized?) jobs or even to recreate some kind of CCC-style program if you're feeling outdoorsy. But then the cash might end up going to the wrong people via the wrong channels

They must've thought he was some far-out man humping it over the course. I did it when I was nineteen, it damn near wasted me. A tough motherfucker. He finished it. He could've gone for general, but he went for himself instead.
