I’m intimidated by the Nightmare runs to get the Platinum trophy; it’s too bad you have to play through the game multiple times just to unlock that difficulty. I’d rather just get it over with all at once.

This collection sat on my F-U pile for years, along with the four Namco games. Feels wonderful to get them wrapped up for good!

These four games were on my low-hanging fruit list of titles I had started years ago and never got around to revisiting… until now.

Galaga was definitely the hardest of the four, only because of the Perfect Challenging Stages requirement. With only two shots on the screen at one time, one missed bullet can wreck your run.

Probably the most difficult thing about boosting these is the insane amount of save scumming required. And it’s with temporary saves, so that equates to a hundred or more reads/writes to a USB Stick. Good times!

But best of all for me was probably seeing the Ronyx/Ilia ending. Ronyx is redeemed!

I feel like so much more could have been done with T'Nique's character. The lycanthrope thing is cool, but under utilized. And Pericci is a cat woman… enough said!

This playthrough also included Mavelle’s tragic ending for me. I believe this is canon in the SFC version as well… which preceded FF7’s Aerith’s death by a few years!

Lastly, my second full playthrough used Cyuss, Ioshua, T'Nique, and Pericci. I was caught by surprise by this last-minute rival battle! This is the only time this battle field is used in the entire game, I believe.

Now playing on the PS4, I ran the same first playthrough with Ashlay, Ioshua, Welch, and Erys. The next half-playthrough was swapped out Welch and Erys for Phia and Mavelle. This was to incorporate the Timeless Treasures ending and having all seven SFTs at the same time.
