TIL that these 'copyrighted statue' key items found in Vesperia originate from Phantasia. (I'm assuming the PlayStation version here and not the Super Famicom original.) Neat!

I’m intimidated by the Nightmare runs to get the Platinum trophy; it’s too bad you have to play through the game multiple times just to unlock that difficulty. I’d rather just get it over with all at once.

It’s been a while since my last gaming update… I’m currently on my second playthrough of Ys Origin; not because of Nordics coming out soon but just because. My first run with Yunica I took pretty slowly, read through all the dialogue, etc., but now with Hugo I’m blowing through the tower.

This collection sat on my F-U pile for years, along with the four Namco games. Feels wonderful to get them wrapped up for good!

I was a few days late in posting about the Namco Arcade Game Series Platinums, but today I added another long overdue title to the completed list! SEGA Mega Drive and Genesis Classics. Two challenges were especially difficult—Streets of Rage 3 and Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine. I suck at Puyo!
Galaga was definitely the hardest of the four, only because of the Perfect Challenging Stages requirement. With only two shots on the screen at one time, one missed bullet can wreck your run.

Probably the most difficult thing about boosting these is the insane amount of save scumming required. And it’s with temporary saves, so that equates to a hundred or more reads/writes to a USB Stick. Good times!

Starting February with a bang—and I'm back on my shit again! I managed four Platinums in 7 minutes with some highly staged trophy gains. This time around, it was all four Arcade Game Series games by Namco: Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, Galaga, and Dig-Dug.

But best of all for me was probably seeing the Ronyx/Ilia ending. Ronyx is redeemed!

I feel like so much more could have been done with T'Nique's character. The lycanthrope thing is cool, but under utilized. And Pericci is a cat woman… enough said!

This playthrough also included Mavelle’s tragic ending for me. I believe this is canon in the SFC version as well… which preceded FF7’s Aerith’s death by a few years!

Lastly, my second full playthrough used Cyuss, Ioshua, T'Nique, and Pericci. I was caught by surprise by this last-minute rival battle! This is the only time this battle field is used in the entire game, I believe.

I originally played this game on the PSP, but only one playthrough was accomplished before I moved on to something else. I went with Ashlay, Ioshua, Welch, and Erys at the time, and didn't even bother with the EX dungeon.
