If someone asked me to give them only one chart that explained the background conditions that facilitated Trumpism, this is the one I'd pick.
In 1980, 11 percent of national income was received by the top 1 percent in the United States, compared with 21 percent received by the bottom 50 percent. In 2016, 20 percent of national income was received by the top 1 percent in the United States, compared with 13 percent received by the bottom 50 percent.

Hertz used to be my go-to car rental co, but in the past few years their software touchpoints have become riddled with bugs, and are extremely non-performant. Hope it sorts out quickly!
