This is a clip of the start of my new song "Toxic". Many years ago, I had a friend at the university LGBT society who was in a really toxic relationship, and I felt like writing this song about him. Sadly we didn't stay in touch, but I believe that toxic relationship was part of his isolation.

I've added more details to the score and changed the chords voicing. I wrote this music for my husband and I. Since he likes playing the melody, the fingering notation is for his left hand.

I started writing a small piano piece this morning. @dgapitts.bsky.social asked me to write something that sounds happy, so I went for the key of C. We will practice this and play it for the next piano meetup in Madrid.

I managed to write a new melody yesterday. I will review it with my music teacher this morning. @dgapitts.bsky.social listened to the latest mix and he told me it's quite "danceable", which is what I was aiming for.

I'm currently working on a song in Spanish. This isn't my mother tongue, so it can be challenging, but I got help from native speakers to make sure I'm not writing non-sense. I'm also struggling with the melody, but my music teacher gave me some advice on how to preserve the energy with faster notes
