I have mostly gotten a friend to buy a game I wanted to play, but in the end didn't buy because now I get to play their copy.

I also enjoyed playing it on BGA and Am on a lookout for physical copy.

Yes, the second edition should be available sooner than later. Then there will probably be some cheap first editions available, or the beautiful second edition for normal price.

Shipwrigts Redux is fun card drafting and resource management one. Funnily it is also solitaire after the drafting phase.

West K. offers nice variety. Architects has player interaction and is lighter, while Paladins is a multiplayer solitaire. Viscounts is ok, but rules appear complex and it needs the expansions. All South Tigris are excellent, but heavier. Wayfarers about same as Paladins. Inventors near Lacerda lvl.
