THIS WEDNESDAY!
What a good way to celebrate this year’s @yimbyaction.bsky.social Membership Month “People > Parking” than having a drink/food in San Leandro!
Check out the growing area from a quick walk from San Leandro BART to Fieldwork Brewing. #EastBay

Incredibly grateful to all of our representatives who voted to reform California's unsustainable environmental review process! This will make it easier to build housing in urban areas, which we know reduces greenhouse gas emissions and is good for the environment.
The impossible has become possible: we've passed a clean CEQA infill exemption. This is probably the most important thing California has done on housing in the present YIMBY moment.

Over the weekend we celebrated upzoning across Berkeley, and this week we celebrate huge reforms to CEQA! While there's a lot to worry about from the federal government, California gives us hope.

History was just made: After six years of consideration and dozens of public meetings, the city of Berkeley decided tonight to end single-family zoning across vast swaths of the city. Now Berkeley can be the city where single-family zoning was born AND where it died. Congratulations!

SB 79, the bill to allow for more housing near California's high-quality transit stops, passed the senate yesterday! We couldn't be more grateful for the pivotal role @jessearreguin.bsky.social played in getting it passed. Thanks for being a housing champion, Jesse!

Thanks, @jessearreguin.bsky.social, for standing up for housing at last week's Senate Housing Committee! We also "firmly believe we need to build housing at all income levels". The committee was divided, which made your votes for SB 79 and SB 677 even more important. Proud that you represent us!
