This event, though at 16km depth, occurred right on the surfical trace of the San Juan Fault

Even when camping, the earthquakes keep on coming. Didn't feel this out on the west coast, but it was felt across the CRD!

Awesome, thanks.. Consider it signed then. In Canada, especially in SWBC and the Cascadia subduction zone, our own alerts and preparedness go hand in hand with the efforts in Washington and Oregon States.

Does it do any good for a non American based scientist to also sign?

While I love the Tour de Ice Cream, do tell, what is the significant landslide and MB Bathy destination?

Actually, a revision to the comments from @schoolshake.bsky.social (they were my comments). The event does have a handful of felt reports from the Saanich Peninsula (6 to be exact, at the time of writing this).

A reminder we live in an area of active seismicity. This small event at great depth would not have been felt, but it is well recorded across the peninsula on our @schoolshake.bsky.social network.

Seems that way. I guess I should have checked one more time before positing... The many times I tried over the last few days was apparently not enough...
