Right when I read this, a song started playing. Then I read the lyrics. Nice one, universe!

The bloodthirsty anarchy of old Europe's rulers is eye-opening in the book "The White Ship".

Today I'm enjoying an old castle's tourist promotion site, which casually relates the good times. Tfw you appreciate the rule of law.

I once worked at a corporation that started using door badge-swipes to track attendance. Remember, being in control is better than making products and services.

Anyway it was common knowledge that if you badge-out as soon as you walk in the door, your time on site cannot be tracked. Humans!

Recently watched Vampyr (1932): surreal/dreamlike, but also hard to follow in places, but also that would make the director happy.

He relied too much on written words, coming from silent film. The distancing effect of intertitles contributes to the mood though.

Lots of cool cinematography.

While it's technically accurate, the graphic makes this seem like a classic doom-loop clickbait headline. Editor politics are a question.

Raise your hand to the night sky and collect its dark for the next day. In the sunlight, hold your palm at exactly the same angle. Do you see the far lights above? They wait, a day and a day and a day and again; they say "patient".

A list of conditions the USA CDC seems to say makes you eligible to get a Covid vaccination. Because Covid is only a danger if you have one of these. So I guess if you tell a pharmacist which one you have, you can get a vaccine?
