UG Students sketch the Glencoul thrust fault in Assynt, NW Scotland. Here, the older basement rock (Lewisian Gneiss) sits above Cambrian quartzites. Glencoul is amongst one of the first sites in the world where thrust fault tectonics were discovered! A Lochinver Larder pie & view! Life at it's best!
