If ICE Agents Show Up At Your Door - Don't open the door, but be calm. You have rights. - Ask what they are there for (And ask for an interpreter if you need one). - If they ask to enter, ask if they have a warrant SIGNED BY A JUDGE* and if so, ask to see it )through a window or slipped under the door). -If they do NOT a have a warrant SIGNED BY A JUDGE *, you may refuse to let them in. Ask them to leave any informationat your door. - If they force their way in, don't resist. Tell everyone in the residence to remain silent. - If you are arrested, remain silent and do not sign anything until you speak to a laywer. *An ICE administrative warrant (form I-200, I-205) does not allow them to enter your home without your consent. A man with a green card said ICE agents arrested him in #Lynn, Mass then took him to a detention facility—but first made a detour to a cemetery, where they took him out of their vehicle and beat him.

ICE is detaining people in torturous conditions in a two-story office building in #Burlington, Mass.

The detainees are barely being fed, can't wash their hands, and are in such confined spaces that they can't all lie down at once.

Peredo Carroll said her client spent a couple days in a small holding cell by herself — an 8-foot-by-10-foot space with nothing but a toilet. Eventually, two other women were moved into the room. The space was so small that all three of them couldn't lie down at the same time, Peredo Carroll said. "So two of them could lie down while one was leaning up against the toilet," she said. Eventually, all three women were moved to a larger holding cell with about a dozen other women. Once again, there were no beds, or a sink with soap for handwashing, and the women slept on the floor. There was one toilet in the center of the room and "the women used the aluminum blanket to cover each other as they used the toilet so they could have a little bit of privacy," Peredo Carroll wrote in her affidavit. Throughout her stay in Burlington, Peredo Carroll said her client received three small meals per day: a small cup of oatmeal in the morning, a couple spoonfuls of pasta for lunch and some sort of rice dish for dinner that she likened to "dog food." A small bottle of water came with each meal. Sherman-Stokes also said her client in the Burlington facility was "not being fed appropriately." After 18 hours in ICE custody, she’d had a small cup of oatmeal and an apple, she said.
