I don't think I've ever seen something like this until just recently, but I caught a similar moment with a chickadee a few days ago.

One of my cats does the same with any shoelaces he can access. All my shoes have to be kept on the other side of a closed door 😑

(Also hoodie strings and shirt buttons, but fortunately only when I'm wearing them for some reason)
