Looking for a little light and levity in life at the moment. Sketching. Seasonal "tree" made out of books. My tabby cat in a rare moment of behaving herself.
Small sketchbook with a sketch of a piece of holly with berries. I was sketching to the prompts of festive and glow. Thanks for author Louise Penny for the idea to make a seasonal "tree" from books with little white lights around it and a hand-carved chickadee as a top ornament. My cat, sitting beside the tree, has not yet toppled it over. Louise's tree is made from 175 books; my little one is about 2 dozen. My tabby cat is sitting on top of her scratching post enjoying the morning sunrise and my still-blooming balcony garden.

Using my new CO2 monitor to test air quality/ventilation in public spaces & private homes. Helps me make informed decisions about what indoor spaces are safer from airborne virus transmission. This local hotel lobby tested even lower than my well-ventilated apartment. Great ventilation system.
Lobby of nearby hotel with small CO2 monitor on coffee table to measure air quality. Helps me know if the ventilation is good enough for my still COVID-cautious self to decide if unmasking is safe enough. This space had excellent ventilation system, even with the gas fireplace near to this seating.
