True. Going back to Regan, you can see how America got here. The Bush Gore election, and the Supreme Court making a judgement about the outcome was a clear break from the past, in my mind.

Maybe we can fix what doesn't work, clean it up, and have a better foundational document to use and respect in the future. Both should be taught, though, especially because of all the racism in the original.

We're (I have too many dietary restrictions for most places) down to a few fast food options. We're kicked McDs, Starbucks, and Hate Chicken to the curb (Hate Chicken is the longest avoided). At least I can get a sealed bottle drink at Dunkin. But, I can eat at home. That's good.

I love the federal government telling local schools what to do. I thought the states or local governments were supposed to have more control.

The Republicans may be worse. Not looking to political parties or the wealthy to act in the best interest of most people. Least bad is a goal in America. The Supreme Court deciding Bush/Gore was bad, too. Project 2025 is nightmare fuel. The system needs to be remade.
