"Who might replace Starmer?"

With pressure growing on the PM, there are a lot of conversations going on in Westminster about who could take over.

Who are the contenders? Who's best placed to win? Would it make any difference?

"Never again?"

On how the radical right are trying to change our collective memory about World War Two as part of their assault on the postwar order.

And why that memory remains a critical defence against nationalism.

Great day at #rED25 - sessions from @beckyfrancis.bsky.social, @daisychristo.bsky.social, @chrisfountain.bsky.social and @dougobrien.bsky.social. It is always a delight seeing educators sharing their knowledge (on a Saturday no less) - brings such energy to the start of term.

Absolutely loved seeing the fabulous ensembles perform last night. We heard Mozart on the steel pans, Backstreet Boys from the training winds and Star Wars from the Symphony Orchestra! Incredible focus from the children, impressive organisation by the staff. Particularly fab primary massed choir 🎶
Well done to our talented ensembles who put on spectacular performances this evening, and thank you to everyone who joined us 👏

Whoever is running the passport office should clearly be knighted and put in charge of running the country.
So,as a little thought-experiment, tell me something about the United Kingdom that works well and is actually quite impressive. I am not trying to sound like some boosterish politician. I just genuinely believe that making people believe that all is lost is a convenient pretext for shady characters.
